Let's Go Back to the Bible

“Where is God when…?”

Have you ever felt like the psalmist?  “I cried out to God with my voice…In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted.  I…was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed…I am so troubled that I cannot speak….Will the Lord cast off forever?  And will He be favorable no more?  Has His mercy ceased forever?  Has His promise failed forevermore?  Has God forgotten to be gracious?  Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies?” (Psa. 77:1-9).  “Where is God…?”

If you ever feel like God has left you or is not hearing you, do what the psalmist did.  “I remembered God…I call to remembrance my song in the night…I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High…I will remember the works of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old” (77:3, 6, 10, 11).  Remember God!  Remember His presence in times past!  Remember His works in your life!  Remember His wonders!  Then, like the psalmist you will be able to declare, “Who is so great a God as our God?” (v. 13)!
