Let's Go Back to the Bible

“Would his mom be allowed on the field?”

Watching the JV football player lying motionless on the field seized everyone’s attention. Trainers from both teams rushed onto the field, then the coaches and quickly someone called 911. The ambulance arrived and the paramedics rolled the stretcher onto the field. After several minutes, the boy was finally lifted onto the stretcher and rolled off the field. So, in that situation, would his mom be allowed on the field? As the immobilized boy was wheeled to the ambulance, there was his mom, walking beside the stretcher the whole time, with her purse in one hand and a phone in the other. There would be no way to keep her off the field!

As you think about that, and how true that would be of any mom, think about the fact when we are hurt, when we are scared, when we are sad, when we are lonely, when we are safe, when we are happy, when we are successful, that God does not need permission to get on the field with us. He is there! He rushes to be there! He is always there! He has promised, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5). So, is God allowed on your field?
