Let's Go Back to the Bible

Which is harder—raising boys or raising girls?

Oh, boy!  I’m confident with a room full of parents we could have a passionate discussion about who is the harder gender to raise.  And, you know what?  Every parent would be right!  There is not an “easy” gender to raise, for there is nothing inherently “easy” in raising children.  It is a parent’s sole responsibility (given by God) to take that “blank slate” and instill values (but what kind of values?), to instill truth (but what truth?), to instill faith (but faith in what?), to instill morals (but morals based on what?), to point them to God (but what god?).

Too many parents abrogate their responsibility for raising their children, and they allow television, school teachers, classmates, friends, neighbors, movies, musicians, websites, chat rooms, etc., etc., etc. to take that “blank slate” and write (with indelible ink, usually) the world’s values, truths and gods into the especially impressionable heart and soul of that precious child.

So, which one is harder to raise?  Responsible parents?  Or responsible kids?  Hmm!
