What time do you get to work in the morning? What time do you get off from work every evening? What time is curfew in your house? What time is your next doctor appointment?
We live by the clock. Everything has to have a time. Everything has to have a time.
So, isn’t it interesting that when discussing the time of the return of Christ that Jesus affirmed, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is” (Mk. 13:32-33).
You can’t put it on a calendar! You can’t put it in your daytimer! You can’t put it in your phone or in your computer! You do not know the time when Jesus will return! Everything in our lives has to have a time, so that we know when to be ready. God saw fit not to tell us the time of Christ’s return so that we would always be ready! Think about it and enjoy the thought.
