Let's Go Back to the Bible

“It’s a complete new world!”

“I wasn’t a bad person before I became a Christian,” she admitted.  “I wasn’t into the drinking, partying, sleeping around or being hateful to everyone.  I was a pretty nice person.  But, since I’ve become a Christian, it’s a complete new world.  I’m going to every Bible study I can.  I’m writing down notes in classes and sermons and looking stuff up at home.  I’m listening to Bible CDs all the time.  I’m a whole different person now, and I feel like I’m growing every day.”

I suspect the sentiments expressed by this Christian lady are familiar to many of us.  While good, moral people outside of Christ may make nice neighbors and pleasant coworkers, their life has no comparison to the life of a faithful, growing Christian.  When Paul described the Christian life as walking “in newness of life” (Rom. 6:4) and “all things have become new” (2 Cor. 5:17), he wasn’t kidding!  It is a new, fulfilling, purposeful life!

Are you as excited about being a Christian and growing as a Christian (through Bible study) as this sister in Christ is?
