Let's Go Back to the Bible

Putting a face with a name

How important is it to you for people to know your name? When you go to work, to school, to church, to social activities, do you like for people to know who you are? To know your name? How important is it to you to know other people’s names? Have you ever known a person’s name, but you couldn’t put a face with the name? Or, maybe you know someone’s appearance, but you don’t know their name.

In the family of God, we like for our brothers and sisters to know who we are, and hopefully, we want to know the names of our brothers and sisters. This can take a lot of effort sometimes, but it is well worth it to know each other and learn to care for each other as we should.

Even more exciting to consider is the fact that God knows you. He knows your name. He knows how to pronounce it. He knows…you! You, individually, are special to Him! You are not just a name (although He knows your name). As a Christian, you are His own child!
