Let's Go Back to the Bible

Our society is making this one difficult for everybody!

I think every Christian man knows Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:28, but for some reason many have convinced themselves that the words do not apply to them.  Jesus’ words are straight to the point – “But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”  The man who looks intently, continuously and lustfully at a woman (whether she be fully-clothed, half-clothed or not-clothed) has sinned against God.

For teenage boys, young adults and grown men, these words of Jesus need to be engraved on our hearts and lead our lives.  We must (we absolutely must) control our thoughts (2 Cor. 10:5), control our eyes (Job 31:1) and control our desires (Col. 3:5; James 1:15).

Ladies, please do not think you are exempt.  The same can and does also apply to you.  Plus, the way you dress, which often draws attention to your body (obviously lots of ways to do this), can willfully place a stumbling block and cause to sin before others (Rom. 14:13).
