Let's Go Back to the Bible

“Math was my best subject!” “Not me! It was my worst!”

As adults reminisce about their school days, often there will be talk about what their best, worst, favorite or least favorite subjects were “back in the day.”  It’s interesting the treatment that Math always gets.  With some subjects, like History or English, there is sometimes a “middle of the road” reaction among adults—might not have been the worst or the best subject, it was just a so-so or average subject.  But with Math, I have never heard anyone take a so-so approach in talking about their Math classes.  It was usually a person’s favorite subject or their worst subject.  They either loved it or hated it.  I don’t believe I’ve ever heard anyone take the middle ground.

Ok, all of that to ask this – what about Bible study?  Is that your best subject or worst subject?  Is that your favorite subject or least favorite subject?  Is the Bible your most-wanted reading material or your least-wanted?  Is this something to which you want to take the middle of the road?  If Bible study is your least favorite thing to do or if it’s one of those things that you could “take it or leave it,” what can you do today to make it your favorite and most desired?
