Let's Go Back to the Bible

Lend me Your ear, but I need it all day!

Can you picture in your mind the fulfillment of this request of David in Psalm 86 – “Bow down Your ear, O Lord, hear me”?  Can you envision the ear of God bowing down to hear you?

Can you picture in your mind the fulfillment of this affirmation of David – “For I cry to You all day long”?  Can you envision yourself crying out to God all day long?

Have you ever thought about how many prayers the Lord must be hearing and answering at any given point in a day?  Millions upon millions.  Have you ever thought about how long the Lord has been hearing prayers?  For thousands and thousands of years.   And yet, Isaiah assures us, “The Lord’s ear [is not] heavy, that it cannot hear” (59:1).  The Lord never tires of hearing His children’s cries.  He does not grow weary of hearing—do you grow weary of praying?  His ear does not grow heavy of hearing our words—does your ear grow heavy of hearing His words?  God is ready to bow down His ear to you.  He wants to hear from you all day long.
