Let's Go Back to the Bible

It ain’t Tee Ball anymore!

Did you ever play Tee Ball?  Was hitting the ball ever any easier?  They would place that ball on top of that adjustable tee.  Some leagues used a bright orange ball, so you could definitely see it.  If the tee was too high or too low, they would adjust the height to put the ball right in line with your swing.  Easy!  As players progressed in the leagues, coaches would begin pitching at an easy speed and level for the batter to hit.  Not as easy as the tee, but still simple.  In older leagues, the actual pitcher from the other team began pitching, adding another challenge.  Progressing in the leagues meant that the ball started moving faster and deviating from a straight line (curves, sliders, etc.).  Things started easy but got harder and harder.

Isn’t that like life?  Start out in life and everything is pretty easy and so much is just put there on a tee for you.  Then, as you grow older, life gets more and more complicated and situations get tougher and tougher to manage.  Here is something to remember.  David said, “I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken” (Psa. 37:25).
