Let's Go Back to the Bible

“A videographical memory”

Isn’t the human brain amazing?  For men, they can stick all sorts of sports statistics, fishing stories and football schedules in their heads (but they can’t seem to remember a simple date).  For ladies, they can recall with ease every outfit that other ladies have worn to church for the last six months, their child’s “firsts” and every dumb argument their spouse has ever made.

Many people have a photographic memory that can remember minute details of scenes, events and reading materials.  Coming up with a new concept, my nine-year-old told her sister, “I wish I had a videographical memory so that I could remember the movies in my head.”

Guess what?  God gave you a videographical memory, too.  What was it like to walk through the Garden of Eden?  What was it like to see those Hebrew boys thrown into that fiery furnace?  What do you see when you think about Jesus carrying His cross and then being crucified on it?  Yep!  You’ve got a video in your head that was directed by the words of the Bible!
