Most physicists will tell you that a three-legged stand is more stable than a four-legged stand, for the points of the three legs form a single plane and it will not wobble. That’s why microphone stands, speaker stands, camera stands (tripods) all have three legs.
Did you know that God gave us a three-legged stand also? He must know what we need to remain stable in life. Look in Ephesians 6:11-14, and you’ll find three stands.
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Want to be able to stand against the devil? You’d better listen to God!
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Want to be able to stand during tough times? Listen to God!
God commands us, “Stand therefore…” These three stands will keep us stable!
