The precision with which the solar eclipse could be calculated this last week was astounding. I was in Henderson, Tennessee when it occurred. Here were the details that were available in advance of the eclipse (for where I was located): You “will see a partial eclipse for 2 hours 36 minutes. 96.1% of the sun will be obscured by the moon at the peak.” It will “start” at 12:40 p.m., “peak” at 1:59 p.m. and “end” at 3:17 p.m. It was not going to last for 2 hours 35 minutes, or even just rounded to two-and-a-half hours. It was not going to obscure 96.2% or even 96% even. It was not going to peak at 1:58 p.m. or even straight up 2:00 p.m. Astronomers were able to calculate with absolute precision the when, where and what of the solar eclipse well in advance of it ever happening!
And, they are already able to calculate that, “Those living in Alaska will catch a glimpse of a total solar eclipse on March 30, 2033, and a partial solar eclipse will shine over most of the US during that event. A total solar eclipse won’t be visible again from the contiguous US until August 22, 2044, but totality will only occur over North Dakota and Montana, plus northern Canada. However, the next total solar eclipse with a coast-to-coast path spanning the Lower 48 states will occur on August 12, 2045. The path of totality will arc over California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, with a partial eclipse visible across other states.” How can they possibly know this?
Friends, there are people who traveled hundreds and thousands of miles to view this celestial phenomenon. There are news agencies who have devoted hours and hours of airtime to this event. There have been and will be thousands of articles written by experts and neophytes documenting the wonder of this day as the moon moved in front of the sun. The whole world, it seems, is watching this and standing in awe of this “once-in-a-generation” spectacle.
So, why should you care? This total solar eclipse is shouting to the world that the very idea of a Big Bang Theory is pure fantasy and nothing more than human dribble that has been invented to try to convince the unreasoning souls that there is no God. That’s what makes the flood of round-the-clock coverage of this astronomic sensation so astounding! The media pundits do not even realize that their hype and documentation of this event are proving…THE BIBLE is true and that THERE IS A GOD! Yes, “The heavens” (on April 8, 2024 and every other day) “declare the glory of God” (Psa. 19:1). Such precision could NEVER be the result of an explosion—chaos does NOT produce order!
It would take a “fool” to say there was “no” total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. Hmm. Are you a “fool” (Psa. 14:1)?
