After hearing the congregation sing heartily and excitedly every verse of “No Tears in Heaven,” a little girl leaned over to her mother and said, “Boy, mama, there’s gonna be a whole bunch of nothin’ in heaven, isn’t there!” Well, maybe she missed it just a bit, but from one perspective, she didn’t miss it at all.
Consider what the Bible says will NOT be in heaven:
· No death (Rev. 21:4).
· No sorrow (Rev. 21:4).
· No crying (Rev. 21:4).
· No pain (Rev. 21:4).
· No cowardly (Rev. 21:8).
· No unbelievers (Rev. 21:8).
· No abominable (Rev. 21:8).
· No murderers (Rev. 21:8).
· No sexually immoral (Rev. 21:8).
· No sorcerers (Rev. 21:8).
· No idolaters (Rev. 21:8).
· No liars (Rev. 21:8).
· No temple (Rev. 21:22).
· No sun, moon or lamp (Rev. 21:23; 22:5).
· No night (Rev. 21:25; 22:5).
· No defilement (Rev. 21:27).
· No curse (Rev. 22:3).
· No vile sinners (Rev. 22:15).
· No fornicators (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
· No adulterers (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
· No homosexuals (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
· No sodomites (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
· No thieves (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
· No covetous (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
· No drunkards (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
· No revilers (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
· No extortioners (1 Cor. 6:9-10).
· No devil or evil temptations (Rev. 20:10).
· No end (Rev. 22:5; Matt. 25:46).
Space limitations prevent a full listing, but you get the idea. There’s gonna be a whole bunch of nothin’ in heaven! And, aren’t you glad! When we are in eternity with our Father and our Savior, there is nothing else that will matter and nothing else we will need! “All will be glory in that land!”
