Let's Go Back to the Bible

Which sense would be the worst to lose?

My heart goes out to those who do not have the full use of the senses of the human body, whether by birth or by other circumstances later in life. How precious are those faculties, and those who have lost one or more of them know that all too well. Which is the worst to lose?

How sad it would be to lift the lid of a crock pot and not be able to smell the aromatic seasoning of the meat and vegetables all blended together! How awful it would be to take a bite of fresh key lime pie and not be able to taste the delectable flavors bursting in your mouth! How lonely is would be to observe your children laughing and playing and not be able to hear the sweetness of their joyful voices! How scary it would be to walk around in perpetual darkness and not be able to see the faces, the colors and the beauties of God’s creation!

How heartbreaking to miss out on these sensations in life! However, there are two other senses that are vanishing and are even more calamitous once their gone — common sense and the sense of right and wrong! Once they’re gone, souls are in jeopardy! Think about it!
