The Bible says that Jesus is the captain of the church (2 Tim. 2:3-4; Heb. 2:10). Therefore, in one sense, Jesus is before the church. The Bible says that Jesus is the shepherd of the church (John 10:11; 1 Pet. 5:4). Therefore, in one sense, Jesus is alongside the church. The Bible says that Jesus is the Savior of the church (Eph. 5:23; Acts 20:28). Therefore, in one sense, Jesus is for the church. The Bible says that Jesus is the heart of the church (Col. 1:18; Matt. 26:29; Eph. 4:15; Heb. 2:17-18; Col. 3:11). Therefore, in one sense, Jesus is inside the church.
