Let's Go Back to the Bible

Watch your LOL

Ok, so probably one of the things that Christians struggle with the most is how to relate to those who are difficult to relate to when you see them.  There are folks with whom we do not get along, folks who drive us crazy, folks who seek to make our life difficult, folks who are probably not on our Christmas Card list.  I think it’s hard to classify someone as a personal “enemy,” but those people in our lives who try to hinder us from living a Christian life would probably count.

So, how do we treat these people?  Or, more specifically for this article, how do you react when something bad happens to them?  I know how the fleshly side of us wants to react (LOL!), but read these words about how the spiritual side of us must react.  “Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; lest the Lord see it, and it displease Him…” (Prov. 24:17-18).  We need to carefully contemplate these words.  Do our actions please or displease the Lord?  The New Testament says it this way—“Love…does not behave rudely…does not rejoice in iniquity” (1 Cor. 13:4-6).  Think about it.
