Let's Go Back to the Bible

Thank God for brothers in Christ

When Paul was trying to join the disciples in Jerusalem but was not being accepted, thank God for brothers in Christ like Barnabas, who stood in the gap and brought brethren together (Acts 9:26-27). When Paul was thrown in prison for preaching the gospel, thank God for brothers in Christ like Epaphroditus, who came and ministered to Paul’s needs (Phil. 2:25-30). When a whole class of individuals was being discriminated against in the church because of their ethnical background, thank God for brothers in Christ like James, who stood up for God’s plan for all men to be able to turn to God (Acts 15:13-21). When John Mark later changed his ways to more faithful service in the kingdom, thank God for brothers in Christ like Paul, who did not hold John Mark’s past against him but called him alongside (2 Tim. 4:11).

What kind of brother (or sister) in Christ are you? Thank God for brothers (and sisters) in Christ who do what they can, with what they have, to make a difference (no matter the size) in the kingdom of God!
