The kids will soon be out of school and many families use the summer months as a time to visit friends and extended family or to take a relaxing vacation. How much time you spend getting ready often shows the importance of the trip. The same principles apply to heaven.
There is a great difference in getting ready for a short trip and moving to another location. A couple of suitcases might work just fine, but they are nothing like the U-Haul needed when you are moving to another location. Think about this spiritually. Going to heaven demands time, planning and energy, and that is so different from just throwing something into our luggage and heading out. You might wait to the last minute to get ready for the vacation—a move to another place takes so much more effort!
