The news is filled with stories about death, dying and murder. A man is arrested for killing a college student. Another man is arrested for killing his wife. A woman is on trial for killing her daughter. A small group of people were killed in a plane crash. A woman dies from the swine flu, as more reports are released about its spread. Another 4,000 babies were aborted yesterday (almost 1.5 million every year) in the United States.
It’s obvious that mankind has lost all semblance of respect for, appreciation for and understanding of the preciousness of life. This is merely symptomatic of the fact that he has lost all semblance of respect for, appreciation for and understanding of the God, “who gives life to all things” (1 Tim. 6:13).
Since God “gives to all life” (Acts 17:25), no one has the right to destroy human life, unless authorized by God’s Word, especially the precious life in the womb. Life is a blessing!
