Let's Go Back to the Bible

Take a walk!

Having a rough day? Most of us have experienced those days when everything seems to go wrong, to the point that we’re just waiting for the next thing in our day to fail. When that happens, might I suggest just taking a short walk? (Don’t worry, it won’t take long, and you can be right back at your desk of doom and despair.)

Walk outside and just breathe–when you do, remember that it was God who first breathed into man the breath of life (Gen. 2:7). Then, just listen and hear the songful chirping of the birds-  -when you do, remember that “not one of them is forgotten before God” (Luke 12:6), and neither are you. Take a moment and look up–when you do, imagine God saying that He will “open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it” (Mal 3:10). Ok, head back and go through the door–when you do, remember Jesus said, “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved” (John 10:9).

Now that God has settled your day, let Him handle the rest of it, too!
