Let's Go Back to the Bible

No night there

The closing verses of the book of Revelation teach us much about heaven–both what is going to be there and what is not going to be there. These things should not necessarily be looked at  independently of each other, but viewed for how many of them relate to each other.

Twice it is stated that, in heaven, “there shall be no night there” (Rev. 21:25; 22:5). Now, tie that in with what else is not there. There are “no tears” (Rev. 21:4), which are often shed at night. There is “no sorrow” (Rev. 21:4), which is often heightened at night. There is “no pain” (Rev. 21:4), which always seems to get worse at night. There is “no death” (Rev. 21:4), which often is more difficult to endure in the night hours of loneliness and quiet thinking.

Why are all of these things taken away? Why is there no night, in which to endure the fears, darkness, uncertainties and lonesomeness that often comes with it? One answer: Because GOD is there (Rev. 21:3, 11, 23; 22:1-5)! It does N-O-T get any better than that!
