It has been taught by man for hundreds of years that babies are born totally depraved from God, having inherited the guilt of the sins of their parents, who inherited from their parents….who inherited it from Adam and Eve. But, what does the Bible say? Look at these verses.
“Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor shall the children be put to death for their fathers; a person shall be put to death for his own sin” (Deut. 24:16; cf. 1:39). This law was quoted and observed in 2 Kings 14:6. “But every one shall die for his own iniquity…” (Jer. 31:30). “…The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself” (Ezek. 18:19-20; cf. 1 John 3:4).
The Bible makes it pretty plain. Each person is accountable to God for what he/she does himself/herself (cf. 2 Cor. 5:10). Thank you, Lord, for making it this way!
