Inflation makes shopping a challenge. That is true of regular shopping for groceries and everyday merchandise. But it is also true of holiday shopping. “Stuff” costs a lot! But there are many gifts that you can give that are inflation-proof. Consider just one.
There is a gift that you can give to everyone, even to those who are unthankful (Luke 6:35). There is a gift that you can give to persons of all ages, old and young (1 Tim. 5:1-2). There is a gift that you can give any time of year, as it is good for all seasons (Gal. 6:9-10). There is a gift that you can give that never goes out of style or gets old (Luke 10:34; Acts 28:2). There is a gift that you can give that will not cost you anything (Prov. 15:1; 31:26).
This holiday season, give kindness (Eph. 4:32)! Give kindness to members of your family and to your church. Give kindness to your coworkers and your neighbors. Give kindness to the stranger at the checkout line and to the delivery person. Give kindness to all, imitating your God!
