Let's Go Back to the Bible

He knew, He knew, He knew

We have recorded three separate instances in the life of Jesus when He predicted specific details about His impending death. Slowly read these. Consider that He knew all of this ahead of time, and yet He still came, He stayed and He endured it all…for you…and me.

Jesus Himself said, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day” (Luke 9:22). Not long after that, He again started telling His disciples, “The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him.  And after He is killed, He will rise the third day” (Mark 9:31). Less than a year later, it is recorded that He was teaching again, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished. For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon. They will scourge Him and kill [crucify, Matt. 20:19] Him. And the third day He will rise again” (Luke 18:31-33).
