While Satan was attacking the integrity of God in his denunciation of Job, the evil one actually revealed much about the providential care of God for His people. And, he was tipping his hand to show that even the devil knows and can see how much God blesses His people.
The devil knows that God has “made a hedge around” His children (Job 1:10). Did you know that? Read Psalm 139:5 and John 10:27-29. The devil knows that God has “blessed the work of” His children (Job 1:10). Did you know that. Read Colossians 3:23-24 and Ephesians 6:7-8. The devil knows that God has “increased” the “possessions” of His people. Did you know that? Read Matthew 6:33 and 2 Corinthians 9:8.
Do you know as much as the devil knows? Actually, as a faithful child of God, you know more! The devil thought that God’s “servant Job” would “surely curse” God if his physical blessings were removed (Job 1:11). The devil was wrong! You are more blessed than Job ever was! You have even more reason to stand strong against the dumb devil!
