Let's Go Back to the Bible

“C’mon, c’mon, c’mon…get to the point!”

Recommendation:  Please read the following verses slowly and gauge your response to each.

“Love is patient” (1 Cor. 13:4).  “The fruit of the Spirit is…patience” (Gal. 5:22).  “Walk in a worthy manner…with patience” (Eph. 4:1-2).  We “pray for you” that you may be “strengthened…for all patience and longsuffering with joy” (Col. 1:9-11).  “As the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on…patience” (Col. 3:12).  “Be…patient in tribulation” (Rom. 12:12).  “Be patient with all” (1 Thess. 5:14).  “Pursue…patience” (1 Tim. 6:11).  “A servant of the Lord must…be…patient” (2 Tim. 2:24).  “The testing of your faith produces patience” (Jas. 1:3).  “Be patient” (Jas. 5:7-8).  Those with a good heart, “keep [the word of God] and bear fruit with patience” (Luke 8:11-15).

Did you patiently consider each of those passages?  Someone might say, “Give me one good reason to be patient.”  Here’s one:  “The Lord is…patient toward you” (2 Pet. 3:9).
