During the month of June, we are making changes in our Wednesday night adult classes with a special series entitled, “Kick Start Your Summer.” We will all assemble in the auditorium where there will be a different speaker each of those nights. It is often refreshing to hear His truths presented by those whom we have not heard before.
On June 4, our speaker will be Vance Davis. Vance came to work with the Suncoast congregation about a year ago and has done an excellent work. He is a qualified teacher of the “Fishers of Men” personal work program and Suncoast has been using it with outstanding results. His topic will be “What Every Mature Christian Needs.”
The next week the focus will be on “What Every Church Needs.” Casey Haynes, who will graduate from Freed-Hardeman next year, will be with us. He has great ability and we believe he and his fiancé, Hannah, will accomplish much for the Lord. He is now working part time with the youth at Hohenwald, Tennessee. You will be impressed with this young man.
Then the next week, June 18, Gale Nelson will be speaking on “What Every Family Needs.” Gale is the preacher at the Miami Gardens congregation. He has spoken on our lectureship and also taught in our Evangelism Training for Youth. Those who have heard him at these events know what a great feast he will provide for us.
The last Wednesday the topic will be “What Every Young Christian Needs” with Verlon Carrell speaking. He is the preacher at the Lake Placid congregation where several of our former members attend. Earlier this year, when we rented a bus to attend their lectureship, he spoke on that lectureship. He is a soul winner and the growth of the church and their new building show the impact he is having.
So let me urge everyone to use these four nights to “Kick Start Your Summer” by hearing each of these lessons. The topics have been planned to address the needs of the church here. The speakers have been selected because we have confidence that they will change the lives of those who hear them. Your life will be changed.
