This is the time of year when you do more shopping (perhaps) than any other time of year. Maybe you can only get your husband’s favorite fishing lures at this one specialty shop. Maybe your wife has a favorite chocolate that can only be purchased at a local shop. Maybe your friend has a favorite coffee that you have to drive past three other coffee shops to get it. While many stores have tried to provide that “one-stop” shopping experience, and while the internet has almost perfected it, there still seems to be that one item (or two) that requires a special trip.
Think about this in relationship to the Bible. The Bible is God’s “one-stop shop.” Need some instruction, it’s there (2 Tim. 3:16)! Need some encouragement, it’s there (Acts 20:32)! Need some comfort, it’s there (Rom. 15:4-5)! Need some correction, it’s there (2 Tim. 3:16)! Need some answers, it’s there (Heb. 4:12)! Need some cleansing, it’s there (Psa. 119:9)! You don’t have to go anywhere else! There are no other stops to make! It’s a “one-stop shop”!
