Let's Go Back to the Bible

You’re a leader, even if you think you’re not!

“Leadership” is an interesting word and brings various thoughts to mind. As Christians, we may think of leaders as the elders, the deacons, the teachers, those men who lead in worship, etc. And, perhaps for some of us, we don’t see ourselves as leaders in any respect.

However, I have news for every Christian reading these words–You’re a leader, whether you want to be or not! No, that doesn’t mean that everyone is an elder or a deacon and gets to make decisions for the church. But, if there is just one person who looks at you and follows your example, that makes you a “leader.” Where there is a “follower,” there is a “leader.”

Now, what kind of leader are you? What kind of example do you set for others to follow? For the non-Christians being led by your example, where are you leading them? What about Christians? What about teens and children being led by your example? Where are you leading them? It is sobering to think that we lead by example–whether we realize it or not!
