Let's Go Back to the Bible

Your child won’t do more than you

The goal of EVERY Christian parent ought to be to get their children to heaven! (Oh, how I wish that sentence could have said, “The goal of EVERY Christian parent IS to get their children to heaven!” But, unfortunately, that would not be an accurate statement.) Are you a Christian parent? Do you still have children at home? Is there anything you want MORE than for your children to go to heaven? How do your actions coincide with your answer to that last question?

It is highly unlikely (almost in the region of “it’ll never happen”) that your children will grow up to place more emphasis on the church than you do. They will not grow up to place more emphasis on Bible reading, prayer and Christian living than you do. At best, some will be a Christian at “your level.” But most, unfortunately, will be “less” inclined to Christian living than you.

With that in mind, are you giving your children THE BEST opportunity to grow up to be a faithful Christian? Is their soul and their eternal destiny worth not living your Christian life to the absolute FULLEST?
