Let's Go Back to the Bible

Will Power wins every race!

On May 27, 2018, Will Power won the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500. This was his eleventh time in this world-famous race and his first time to win it.

Much has been made of this man’s name (and for good reason). May I suggest to you that, while Will Power (the man) may have won the most recent IndyCar race, willpower (the personal, strong determination to accomplish something difficult) is essential to win every race!

May God help us to instill this concept into our children! Too many parents have named their children (figuratively speaking), “Can’t Power” or “Won’t Power” or “Lazy Power” or “Somebody Else Will Do It Power” or “It’s Not My Responsibility Power.” More parents need to infuse their children with “Will Power”! “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might” (Ecc. 9:10). “Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit” (Rom. 12:11). “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men” (Col. 3:23).
