Let's Go Back to the Bible

When the end comes, what is going to matter?

The guarantee that each of us has in “this life” is that “this life” is not guaranteed (for any length of time).  Our life could end in death at any moment (Jas. 4:14) or Jesus could return to judge us at any moment (Matt. 25:13).  When that moment comes (either death or Jesus’ return), what is really going to matter?

Will it matter what your lowest round of golf was?  Will it matter how many pairs of shoes you own?  Will it matter how many friends you have in real life and how many friends you have on Facebook?  Will it matter how much money you have?  Will it matter what kind of car you drive?  Will it matter how many countries you have visited?  Will it matter what color your hair is?

No!  There is only one thing that matters – are you in a right relationship with God? That’s it!  You are either “in fellowship with God” at that moment, and, therefore, will be for eternity; or you are “out of fellowship with God” at that moment and will be for eternity.  Which is it for you?
