T-shirts are one of the best means of advertising available. They’re everywhere! Go to any public place and you will see shirts advertising Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Budweiser, Heineken, Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, Dallas Cowboys, Miami Heat, Pink for the Cure, etc., etc. Every shirt sends a message.
The reality is that you are sending messages regardless of what kind of shirt you wear, and God knew this and told us. “You are our epistle…known and read by all men” (2 Cor. 3:2). There is a message that God wants others to read in you (i.e., the good news about Christ), and it doesn’t matter where you are or your wear—people are reading your “advertising” all the time!
How is your “advertising” for Christ when vulgar words proceed from your mouth, when you hold that alcoholic beverage in your hand, when you engage in shameful behavior, when you visit ungodly establishments, etc.? You are advertising all the time! What are you advertising?
