Let's Go Back to the Bible

We miss you on Sunday night and Wednesday night

There may be some who are offended at this title or some who will not read the article because of the title, but can I tell you briefly what’s on my heart?

The Bible calls the church the “body” of Christ (Eph. 1:22-23), and when a part of our body is not here with us, we miss you (like we would miss part of our physical body). The Bible calls the church the “family” (i.e., household) of God (1 Tim. 3:15), and when a part of our family is not here with us, we miss you (like we would miss part of our physical family).

You are loved. You are needed. You are wanted. There is truly a sense of “togetherness” and “completeness” and “happiness” when you are here, and likewise, there is a sense of “emptiness” and “disconnectedness” and “sadness” when you are not here. There is something special about the church being together on Sunday nights and Wednesday nights, and it would be even more special to have you here, too! One more time—we love you and we miss you!
