Let's Go Back to the Bible

Using one’s talents for God

There are some very successful people in this world, who have taken their natural (or even learned and finely-tuned) abilities and used them to provide a living for their family and to advance through life.  These abilities include specialized knowledge in certain fields and specialized skills in certain works (and the combination of those two things).

Some people are good with their hands—drawing, stitching, repairing, writing, moving, helping, etc.  Some people are good with their minds—logically, legally, mathematically, financially, etc.  Some people are good with computers, some are good with people, some are good with numbers, some are good with cars, some are good with various other things.

I thank God for Christians who have taken their talents and abilities and are using them (past, present and future) for the Lord and His cause.  How satisfying to take what you know and are good at doing and to use it to serve God!  God asked Moses, “What’s in your hand?”
