Owning a business or running a company must be so much more challenging today than it was just a few years or decades ago. The way that our society has changed (not always for the better), the way that the average person’s work ethic has changed (rarely for the better), amidst all of the other economic challenges and government regulations, it must be so difficult to try to run a successful business today.
In that light, have you ever wondered how God feels about our work? In 2 Timothy 2:15, He urges, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed…” (2 Tim. 2:15). What kind of worker are you? The worker that cleanses himself from the “dishonorable” (2:20) can be “sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work” (2:21). Have you been set apart as holy for the work of the Master?
Question: When the Master looks at you and your work, are you useful for Him?
