What would happen if you treated your husband like ladies treat men on television and in the movies? What would happen if you treated your husband like men are typically treated at work or in our 
society? Are either of these a healthy standard? Now, what would happen if you treated your husband like the church is supposed to treat Jesus? Would that look different than the way you are treating him now?
According to Ephesians 5:22-33, the model for how a wife treats her husband is found in how the church is to treat Jesus. That may not be an easy model to follow, but it is the Scriptural pattern provided for healthy marriages today.
Can you picture the church treating Jesus with respect, listening to Him, submitting to Him, loving Him and going out of her way to do things for Him with a positive, pleasant and caring attitude? Of course you can! That’s what the church is supposed to do! But, remember, that’s the model for today’s wives. Do you need to make any changes?
