Let's Go Back to the Bible

They are new every morning

In the midst of great laments for the children of Israel and the woeful results of their disobedience, Jeremiah took time to focus on the mercies, compassions and promises of God, which he emphasized are “new every morning” (Lam. 3:22-23). Think about that! For a child of God, even in times of despair, there are blessings from God that are “new every morning.”

We have new blessings every morning – the blessing to see another day, the blessing to behold God’s beautiful creation, the blessing to spend time with God in His Word and in prayer, the blessing to be reminded of the ever-present, always-abundant goodness of God. We have new opportunities every morning – the opportunity to reach out to lost souls, the opportunity to encourage brothers and sisters in Christ, the opportunity to praise the Lord, the opportunity to do good, to share and to make a difference for the Lord.

When you open your eyes each morning, look for new blessings and opportunities from God.
