Let's Go Back to the Bible

Seen any angels?

The heading to Psalm 34 suggests the time of the writing was after David fled from King Saul and sought refuge with Achish, king of Gath. When that king was ready to kill David, he acted like a wild man and pretended insanity by scratching on the doors at the gates of the king’s palace and letting saliva fall down his beard. David escaped to hide in the cave at Adullam. The people no longer sang, “David has killed his ten thousands,” and without Jonathan’s help Saul would have killed him.

Hear his prayer in the midst of adversity. “I sought the Lord, and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears.” Then he explains it all, “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them” (1 Sam. 34:4, 7). Look at the verse again and see that you are in it. His angel encamps about all who fear Him. If you fear the Lord, His angel encircles you!

You will not see them. “Some have entertained angels unaware” (Heb. 13:2). Just remember that no problem you will ever have is greater than that angel!
