If you look down on people because they are a different race or ethnicity than you…if you look down on people because they are less fortunate than you, have less money than you or have “not-as-nice” things as you…if you look down on people 
because they have less education than you or have not advanced as far in life as you…if you look down on people because they speak differently, have an accent, struggle with English or cannot communicate well…if you look down on people because they look different or smell different or act different…if you look down on people because they are not as talented, skilled or capable as you in certain areas…if you look down on ANY one for ANY reason, that pride is NOT of God!
Scripture teaches that “humility” is a Christ-like trait. “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself…Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 2:3-5). Do you have the “mind” of Christ? Then pride cannot and must not be in your life or in your heart! Brethren, this is serious!
