Let's Go Back to the Bible

Message received…loud and clear

Being a parent is not easy, and it is hard to see the ramifications that some decisions will have, especially “at the moment.” But, to parents who  still have children living at home, would you please consider the message that your children are receiving from you about the church?

Young children do not understand the nature of the church as explained in Scripture. And that’s ok. The connection that their minds make to “the church” is when they “go to church.” Therefore, their little minds will determine how important “the church” is by how often their parents “take them to church.” If “going to church” is not a center-of-our-home, we-work-everything-else-around-it priority, that translates to the kids’ minds that “the church” is not that important. “We can take it or leave. When it’s convenient, the church can fit into our lives.”

If you want “the church” to truly be “first” (Matt. 6:33) in your children’s lives when they leave home, you must start very early in their lives by making “going to church” a family priority!
