“Have you a heart that’s weary, tending a load of care?” Life presents so many challenges to us-physically, emotionally, relationally, spiritually. Who doesn’t have a heart weighed down?
“Are you a soul that’s seeking rest from the burden you bear?” When you’re carrying a heavy load, just about the only thing you can do is think about putting it down and resting! Right? 
The chorus of this hymn calls out, “Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? And that He will abide till the end?” No more beautiful thought could ever be communicated! This Jesus, who loves you, said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). Do you believe Him? Have you done it? Are you still with Him? This Jesus, who will abide till the end, has promised, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5). Do you believe Him? Have known Him to be true? No matter what you’re facing and what you’re bearing, go to Jesus and let Him help you!
