Let's Go Back to the Bible

He doesn’t really want “all men,” does He?

To read of the vile persecutions that were brought against early “Christians” in Foxe’s Book of Martyrs and to consider the evil hands which administered such torture, it makes one wonder if and how God could really want “all men” (including those tyrants) “to be saved” (1 Tim. 2:4).  To research all of the atrocities that Adolf Hitler enacted upon the innocent lives of men, women and children almost three-quarters of a century ago, it makes one wonder if and how God could really want “all men” (including Hitler) “to be saved” (1 Tim. 2:4).  To learn of the assassination of the worst terrorist in modern history who had impacted the entire globe and altered (directly or indirectly) our very way of life by his actions, it makes one wonder if and how God could really want “all men” (including Osama bin Laden) “to be saved” (1 Tim. 2:4).

Man might wonder, but God made it quite clear that He “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.  For…Christ Jesus…gave Himself a ransom for all,” even the chief of sinners (1 Tim. 2:4-6; 1:15).  Jesus said to preach to every creature!  Are you?
