Let's Go Back to the Bible

Frequent flyer

A frequent flyer died in his sleep one night and somehow found himself standing in line at the pearly gate.  When he reached the front of the line, he was asked only one question, “What did you do with your soul?”  A little perplexed by such an obvious answer, the frequent flyer responded, “I took my shoes off back there like I always do.  I assume my sole is still back there on my shoe.”  “No, no.  Mister, what did you do with your soul?”  Now a little confused, the man replied, “Well, I went to Seoul, South Korea back in 1999 on business, but I didn’t stay there long enough to really do anything with it.”  “Sir, I’m going to ask one more time.  What did you do with your soul?”

You know, the day will come when each of us will be asked (in essence), “What did you do with your soul?”  Entrance through the pearly gates is dependent on what our answer is.  Will we exchange our soul for something material (Matt. 16:26) or will we “commit [our] souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator” (1 Pet. 4:19)?  “What will you do with your soul?”
