Has somebody ever made your day…just by smiling at you? Just by acknowledging your presence with a quick greeting? Just by hugging you or giving you a pat on the back? Just by looking in your eyes and saying, “I’m praying for you”? Just by sending you a short text, email or personal message? Just by saying, “Thank you,” for something simple?
Has somebody ever flayed your day… by not smiling at you? By not acknowledging your presence? By making some quick verbal jab at you? By snickering at you or something you did? By ignoring you when you were seeking their attention? By embarrassing you in front of others? By talking about you disrespectfully with others?
The command in Ephesians 4:32, “Be kind to one another,” does not have a time stamp on it to tell us when exactly to do that, which means it must be a natural part of our way of living and interacting with others. Are you kind? Are you always kind? Are you kind to everyone? You never know the impact a little kindness will have and you never know who is watching!
