Let's Go Back to the Bible

Are you shrinking?

It has been noticed that, in the aging process, some people’s bodies begin to “shrink” a bit. Effectively sticking to a diet can also cause the body to “shrink.” So, are you shrinking? That’s not the kind of shrinking in mind here.

When Paul met with a group of elders in Acts 20, he reminded them that while he was with them and teaching them, “I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable” (v. 20). And, again in verse 27, “I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.” It may not have been popular and it may not have been easy, but Paul was not going to be ashamed or to shirk the responsibility that God had given to him.

Are there times when we shrink from teaching truths that would be profitable for others? Are there times when we shrink from declaring all that God wants us to declare? Let us not be ashamed! Let us not shirk our responsibility! Let us not shrink from speaking for God!
