Let's Go Back to the Bible

Anything in your life that God cannot handle?

The thought of conceiving, bearing and giving birth to a child, when she was 90 years old, was a laughable thought to Sarah.  But, to her skepticism the Lord asked, “Is there anything too hard for the Lord?” (Gen. 18:14).  Giving life is a simple thing with the Almighty God.

Mary wondered, “How can I have a child when I am yet a virgin?”  While she did not appear to share the doubt that Sarah expressed, the wonder of that possibility must have been overwhelming.  The Lord assured her, “For with God nothing will be impossible” (Luke 1:37).  Combining deity and flesh, thus creating a unique life, is not a difficult thing for God.

It is interesting that these two statements (“nothing is too hard for the Lord” and “nothing is impossible with the Lord”) are made in the context of new life commencing.  Think about this.  If God can give and control life in the womb of a 90-year-old woman or even a virgin, what is there about your life or in your life that God cannot handle, control, fix or help?
