Let's Go Back to the Bible

Access denied

Have you ever had your password declined and you could not access a computer, or a website, or an app? Have you ever, perhaps, even forgotten a password and tried several different passwords that you thought might work, but without success? That can be rather frustrating!

Can you imagine if prayer worked like that? What if you forgot the “password” for prayer and your access to God was denied? How horrible would that be!

Here’s the “key” to prayer. God’s “ears are open” to the “prayers” of the “righteous” (1 Pet. 3:12), who “keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight” (1 John 3:22). God’s children have “confidence” that “He hears us” when we pray (1 John 5:14-15). But, here is when the access is denied: “One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination” (Prov. 28:9). What a blessing to have direct access granted to our Father in heaven whenever we pray! Let’s take advantage of that every day!
