You are going to hear hundreds of times in your life (if not thousands) that God loves you and Jesus loves you, but don’t let the echoing of these truths dilute their impact in your life! I have something else that I hope you will truly consider, take to heart and keep with you for the rest of your life.
Lock this in your heart: The Bible truly is from God, every word of it! Just like with other truths, there will be people (some close to you and some who don’t even know you) who will make fun of you and belittle you for believing the Bible is anything more than a carefully devised invention of a group of devious men. Don’t listen to them; don’t follow after them. Use the brain that God gave you and investigate the overwhelming evidence for yourself.
Truth: The Bible claims to be from God! “All Scripture is breathed out by God” (2 Tim. 3:16). No part of Scripture “was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Pet. 1:21). God told us in the Bible that He’s the one who gave us the Bible (not man)!
Truth: The Bible is flawlessly accurate in its every detail! The Bible does not contain a single error, there is not a single fact that has ever been proven to be false, and it is a book that is chock-full of details after details. There is no way that this kind of accuracy could be found in a human production! The only explanation is God!
Truth: The Bible is seamlessly united in its theme, message and purpose! While written by about 40 different men over a period of about 1,600 years, there is a beautiful harmony that characterizes its pages. There is a not a single contradiction or deviation from its subject matter or objective. There is no way that this kind of unity could be found in a human production! The only explanation is God!
Truth: The Bible contains tremendous prophecies and fulfillments! The Bible predicted the details of the overthrow of nations, the rise of kings, the coming Messiah, the promised kingdom, etc. And every single prophecy was fulfilled exactly as it was foretold, including Jesus fulfilling all 332 Messianic prophecies. Man does not know the future, cannot see it and cannot predict it (with any detailed accuracy). But God does! God is the only explanation for the Bible!
Truth: The Bible demonstrates incredible scientific foreknowledge. There are scientific principles and facts in the Bible that were not discovered, corroborated, believed or even imagined by man until hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of years after they were written. How is that even possible? It is possible because God is the only explanation for the Bible!
The evidence is irrefutable: The Bible is from God!
